Elisabete was born in Viana do Castelo, growing up in the rural village of Candemil. She is currently a medical student specialising in Audiology, the science of hearing. She hopes to become a nurse in the future. Describing herself as an “honest” and “strong” person, Elisabete enjoys going to the gym, and performing hip hop and modern jazz dance. A fan of books, her favourite novel is Life in a puff by Jose Rodrigues dos Santos, and she likes the music of The Fray.

"Hello. I’m Elisabete Rodrigues, I’m 21 years old and I study Audiology. I’m the representative of Portugal, for the Miss World 2013.

I've always lived and grew up in the same area of Portugal with my brother and my parents.

They are my biggest support in everything in my life. And I thank them all the moral values ​​that they taught to me, that make the stronger, honest and faithful to God person that I am today.

I'm proud to carry the colors of my country to Indonesia, and give to know the whole culture of Portugal to the World."
